SPOKANE, Wash. — Sandpoint police said they found 26-year-old Robert Cameron Hegseth Wohali dead south of Sandpoint on Tuesday night.
Wohali was reported missing on Sunday night, according to the Sandpoint Police Department. The SPD, Bonner County Sheriff's Office and Idaho State Police launched a search the same night, according to SPD.
Early during their search for Wohali, detectives with SPD identified Michael R. McDermott as a suspect in the disappearance, according to SPD. McDermott has remained in custody at the Bonner County Jail since the weekend for unrelated charges.
SPD found Wohali in a rural area south of Sandpoint on Tuesday night. He had a single gunshot wound to the chest, SPD said.
An autopsy has not been completed, according to SPD.
