LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — 2 people were injured in a crash that caused major delays near the Washington-Idaho state line on Saturday morning.

According to Washington State Patrol (WSP), a pickup truck in the left lane of Interstate 90 eastbound was following a motorcycle and hit the bike. WSP says the truck and the motorcycle ended up in the median between I-90 eastbound and I-90 westbound.

WSP says the 32-year-old motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and landed on the roadway. The motorcyclist was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital.

WSP says the driver of the truck that hit the motorcycle was also injured and taken to Sacred Heart.

The left lane of I-90 eastbound was blocked from 10:30 a.m. to around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, causing major traffic delays in both directions.

WSP says the crash is under investigation and that they do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved in the cause of the crash.
