ATHOL, Idaho — A bus carrying 31 students crashed at Highway 54 and Clagstone Road in Kootenai County late Friday afternoon.
According to Idaho State Police, a school bus was traveling south on Clagstone Road when it failed to yield to traffic on the highway from a stop sign, hitting a car heading east on the highway.
Idaho State Police said the bus crashed into a power pole.
Idaho State Police said the Lakeland Joint School District 272 bus had 31 students from Athol Elementary School. One student reportedly cut their lip, and no other injuries were reported.
Idaho State Police said the driver of the car was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to the hospital.
Idaho State Police is investigating the crash.
