SPOKANE, Wash. — Providence Medical Group has appointed a new chief operating officer (COO).
Carmen Green has more than 20 years of healthcare experience, most recently working as the clinical operations director for Providence's pediatrics division. She will become Providence's new COO when current officer Kathy Tarcon retires this month.
“Carmen is an innovative thinking, strategic person with a passion for the Providence mission,” said Dr. Cara Beatty, chief executive of the Providence Clinical Network. “Carmen possesses the necessary skills, experience, and vision to lead us into a new era of health care delivery.”
Green studied at Washington State University and is enrolled in Whitworth University's Master of Business Administration program. She also worked on several non-profit and community boards in education and healthcare in the past 15 years, like the Mead School Board and Mead Citizens Advisory Committee.
