SEATTLE, Wash. — Celebrities and donors are gathered at the Seattle Grand Sheraton on Friday for the inaugural Game Changer Gala, which benefits Team Gleason and Answer ALS.

KREM staff, including anchor Jane McCarthy, reported back from the event on KREM TV at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Spokane native Steve Gleason was diagnosed with ALS in 2011, following a wildly successful college and professional football career.

After Gleason’s diagnosis, he said, “There will be no white flags.” He founded the Team Gleason Foundation and has raised millions of dollars to fund ALS research and technology.

The Game Changer Gala will feature appearances and performances from Macklemore, Harry Connick, Jr., Mike McCready, Lord Huron and more.
