KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — Kootenai Clinic has announced they have opened a new Maternal Fetal Medicine location.
Kootenai Clinic says the new location started accepting patients on June 18.
Kootenai Clinic also said Maternal Fetal Medicine plays a big role in helping high-risk pregnancies and making sure the health and well-being of the mother and child. The clinic will have state-of-the-art equipment and specialized services to help expecting mothers and meet the needs of expecting mothers who have complex medical conditions.
Medical Director of Kootenai Health's Level III NICU Brooke Lang said the clinic is opening immediately following the NICU's new ability to care for babies as young as 26 weeks gestation.
"This expansion is another example of our commitment to providing needed maternal health care in northern Idaho. We are excited to provide a nurturing environment where mothers can feel supported and confident in their medical care," Lang said.
