SPOKANE, Wash. — With fires near the Spokane area and all around the Inland Northwest, the air quality index (AQI) will change from day to day. Here are a few resources to check the air quality in your area:

The Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency website provides hourly air quality index reports as well as Spokane AQI forecasts. The website also provides access to AQI monitoring sites for specific areas in and around Spokane County which allows users to see five-day AQI forecasts and data on how AQI is measured.

Another resource is the AirNow Fire and Smoke map, which is a visual map of the effects that the fires near Spokane are having on the AQI.
