Gonazaga ranks in U.S. News & World Report Top 100 National Universities for sixth consecutive year

U.S. News & World Report ranked Gonzaga at #98 among the Top 100 National Universities, putting them within the Top 100 for their sixth consecutive year.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga University has been recognized among the Top 100 National Universities by U.S. News & World Report for the sixth consecutive year.  

They are tied at #98 with Florida International University, Rutgers University in Camden, Temple University, University of Colorado at Boulder, University of Iowa and Yeshiva University. 

“We are proud to once again be recognized among the nation’s finest universities,” said Thayne McCulloh, president of Gonzaga University. “Our inclusion in the top 100 National Universities reflects the dedicated work of our faculty, staff, and students. GU creates a learning experience that both challenges and nurtures our students, empowering them to become leaders who shape their professions and elevate their communities.”

In addition, Gonzaga was also recognized as a Best Value School, Top Performer on Social Mobility and among the nation’s Best Colleges for Veterans. 

Gonzaga has a student-to-faculty ratio of 12:1 and an average class size of just 22 students. 

Looking at other universities around the Inland Northwest, the University of Idaho ranked #179 and Washington State University ranked #189.

U.S. News & World Report’s National University category includes 434 schools, ranging from elite private universities to large state research institutions, and is based on criteria established by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.
