WSU Police says they found no evidence of assault near Beasley Coliseum

WSU PD initially said in a Facebook post that the alleged assault involved a female WSU student in the parking lot just south of Beasley Coliseum.

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University Police say that their investigation revealed that no assault happened near Beasley Coliseum on October 21.

WSU PD initially said in a Facebook post that the alleged assault involved a female WSU student in the parking lot just south of Beasley Coliseum.

The female student reported that the suspect grabbed her from behind and choked her causing her to lose consciousness. When she regained consciousness she was in the location where she was originally assaulted.

WSU PD added in the Facebook post that the female believes she may have been sexually assaulted.

She did not see the suspect, so no description is available. WSU PD says they are increasing patrols on campus following the report.

WSU PD also says that reports of a serial rapist in the area are unfounded, following further investigation. They claim no similar reports have been made at WSU, the University of Idaho or within the Pullman and Moscow communities.
