SPOKANE, Wash. — A woman suspected of stabbing someone to death Wednesday night in West Spokane has been arrested.
According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), police responded to a home on West Sunset Blvd near South Lewis St to help the Spokane Fire Department. SPD said the fire department arrived at a home after getting a medical alert.
Police said the fire department contacted a woman at the front door who had significant injuries, saying the woman had sustained multiple stab wounds. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment.
A second person was found dead inside the home, according to SPD.
When officers arrived to the home, SPD said the suspect was not there.
Officers began searching the area, and when they checked the home, they found a woman and detained her.
Police eventually arrested 34-year-old Kelly M. Hyde and booked her into the Spokane County Jail for second-degree murder and first-degree assault.
SPD said both charges are domestic-violence related.
