Spokane Valley deputies arrest woman for alleged reckless burning and assault

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — On Thursday, July 4, Spokane Valley deputies arrested 39-year-old Lisa Dick after she allegedly started a fire in an apartment complex stairwell, and then fought deputies trying to arrest her.

According to court documents, deputies responded to a call at an apartment complex on Mansfield Avenue in Spokane Valley where they found Dick trying to light the banister in a stairway on fire.

Deputies said when they tried to stop the woman, she allegedly tried to kick and burn them.

Court documents also say deputies found methamphetamine in Dick's purse.

She is charged with two counts of third-degree assault, second-degree reckless burning, possession of a controlled substance and third-degree malicious mischief.

Dick is due in court for her arraignment on Friday, July 12.
