RIVERSIDE, Wash. — Police shot a wanted suspect while trying to take him into custody in Riverside on Tuesday morning.
According to the Okanogan County Sheriff Tony Hawley, sheriff's deputies and officers with the Omak Police Department attempted to take a man into custody that was wanted for multiple felony warrants at about 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to Hawley, police shot the man while trying to take him into custody in Riverside. There has been no information released about the condition of the suspect.
The North Central Washington Special Investigations Unit will conduct the investigation into the police-involved shooting, according to Hawley.
