SPOKANE, Wash. — Two Spokane men are facing federal charges in connection to the seizure of commercial pill presses, drugs and weapons.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Washington, Timothy Gary Maddox and Nicholas Bryan Adams were both indicted on numerous felony counts related to the seizure. Police said one of the pill presses seized was associated with illegal fentanyl manufacturing.

In addition to the presses, investigators also seized more than  a dozen guns, suppressors and $57,000 in cash, including quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine.

“Our community is safer and stronger as a result of the investigative work of the numerous law enforcement agencies, who came together to investigate this case,” U.S. Attorney Vanessa Waldref said. “Seizures of large-scale pill presses like this are key to cutting off the deadly supply of illegal fentanyl in the Inland Northwest and elsewhere.”
