Twelve-year-old boy arrested in Grant County after stealing grandfather's car

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — A 12-year-old boy was arrested last week after he stole his grandfather's car.

According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office (GCSO), on Wednesday, November 27, police in Issaquah notified deputies that a 12-year-old stole his grandfather's car, and he was believed to have been driving to Grant County.

The sheriff's office said deputies found the car just before 10:30 a.m. on the curb on Lowry Street. The 12-year-old was arrested following a short pursuit.

The 12-year-old is in the Chelan County Juvenile Justice Center on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and felony eluding.

The sheriff's office said no one was hurt.
