SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane police said a suspect is in custody after a woman died in a home in northwest Spokane on Wednesday.
Bryce Thompson, 19, was taken into custody in Montana in connection to the woman's death, police said on Wednesday afternoon.
Spokane police spokesman John O’Brien said the department received a call around 12:30 p.m. from a person who found a woman who appeared to have been assaulted at a home on West Shannon Avenue near Maple Street.
O’Brien said first responders attempted CPR on the woman but she was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Major Crimes detectives are investigating the death.
The woman's identity has not yet been released.
