KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — Kootenai County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man on Sunday who is the suspect in a handful of thefts and burglaries, including several in Spokane.
Deputies stopped a vehicle at about 10:15 p.m. on Sunday that was listed for possible involvements with burglaries and thefts across the region The driver was identified as Martin P. Nisley, a 58-year-old transient.
Nisley was wearing the same clothes he has used to commit at least one burglary in Coeur d’Alene, authorities said. He also had warrants out of Idaho and Colorado for burglary and similar charges.
Deputies said Nisley was arrested for his active warrants and local burglary charges. They believe he was the suspect in several burglaries at Spokane locations, including Gonzaga University, Carrington College and Mirabeau Park Hotel.
Nisley is also a suspect in at least one Coeur d’ Alene burglary, another in Lewiston and a burglary at the Cleanco Laundry Mat in Hayden, deputies said.
Deputies said Nisley has no other criminal history in Kootenai County.
