Suspect in custody following standoff in Spokane

The sheriff's office said when police arrived, the suspect went back into his home and refused to come out.

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — The Spokane County Sheriff's Office said a suspect is in custody after responding to a standoff in Spokane.

According to the sheriff's office, a call came in saying that two people were involved in an argument and one person was threatened to some extent with a baseball bat.

The sheriff's office said when police arrived, the suspect went back into his home and refused to come out. The standoff took place on West Geiger Boulevard near South Hayford Road.

The sheriff's office said a suspect is now in custody. No one was injured, and the sheriff's office said this is an ongoing investigation.
