SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash — The Spokane County Sheriff's Office arrested a domestic violence suspect in Spokane Valley on Wednesday.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a domestic violence incident Wednesday morning in Spokane Valley. The victim called the sheriff's office to report that a man was threatening her. Deputies were later advised that the victim was a protected person under a signed and served Domestic Violence No Contact Order.

When deputies arrived, they saw the victim "visibly shaken," seeing multiple indicators that the victim was physically assaulted. Deputies then learned the suspect left before they arrived.

The sheriff's office said the suspect, 25-year-old Kishaney D. Bonner, tried calling and texting the victim's phone, but she did not respond. The sheriff's office said the victim called a family member and asked her to come over because she was worried Bonner would show up at the home.

The sheriff's office then said the victim heard a knock on the door, and when answering the door, Bonner was at the door and pushed his way into the home before assaulting her.

The victim was able to call 911 while being restrained by Bonner, who left after the 911 call was placed.

Deputies eventually found Bonner near 6th Avenue and South Sullivan Road and took him into custody. He was booked into the Spokane County Jail for the following charges:

  • First-degree burglary (DV)
  • Second-degree assault (DV)
  • Unlawful imprisonment (DV)
  • Protection order violation with assault (DV)
  • Interfering with the reporting of DV

Bonner appeared in Spokane County Superior Court on August 1, where his bond was set for $75,000.
