SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department said they are searching for an armed robbery suspect near North Central High School.
Police said there was a large police presence right now near North Wall Street and West Spofford Avenue and North Post Street and West Augusta Avenue as police search for the suspect.
Spokane Police also said people living in the area should stay in their homes, and others who don't live there were asked to stay away as police investigated.
SPD said officers were called to the area at around 4 p.m. SPD said a gas station was robbed at gunpoint. Officers also said the suspect, later identified as a man, fled on foot from police.
Police have not found the suspect at this time. SPD describes the suspect as a white man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
SPD believes this suspect is the same person involved in a different robbery last week in the same area.
