SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane man was sentenced to over four years in prison after an investigation found he had a pound of methamphetamine and 2,000 fentanyl-laced pills at his address.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern Washington District, court documents and information revealed at the hearing showed that on August 30, 2022, a postal inspector in Spokane was contacted by another postal inspector in Arizona about a suspicious parcel addressed to the address of 24-year-old Ramon Alonso Delgado.

According to the attorney's office, the postal inspector executed a search warrant on the parcel three days later. The postal inspector seized a pound of meth and 2,000 fentanyl-laced pills.

Delgado was sentenced to 51 months in federal prison on one count of attempted possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine. The attorney's office said Delgado's sentence will be followed by five years of supervised release.
