Spokane County deputies searching for suspects, cars involved in assault that left one injured

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Detectives with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help locating the suspects and cars involved in a fight that left one person severely injured and damaged a local music store.

According to the sheriff's office, the fight occurred on Oct. 15, 2023 around 2:30 a.m. in the parking lot east of Fizzie Mulligans on W. Hastings Road in north Spokane. A caller told deputies a fight had broken out before a car crashed through a building before leaving the scene.

Investigators determined several men began assaulting another man sitting in his car. Another group of men tried to intervene. While he was being attacked, the victim started his car and accelerated rapidly before crashing through the front wall of a music store.

The group continued to assault the victim before leaving in two different cars. The victim backed his car out of the store and contacted police. While the victim was severely injured, his wounds were determined to be non life-threatening.

At this time, detectives have not identified any of the suspects in the assault. Anyone with information on this incident is advised to call detective M. Melville at (509) 477-3325 and reference case number 1015598. In addition, anyone at Fizzie Mulligans on Saturday, Oct. 14 or Sunday, Oct, 15 is urged to look at the photos provided by the sheriff's office.
