Spokane County Sheriffs searching for alleged suspect in North Spokane shooting

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane County Sheriff’s are searching for a suspect who was allegedly involved in an altercation early Sunday morning that ended in one person being shot.

The shooting victim was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

Sheriff’s say when they arrived at Big Foot Tavern early Sunday morning they found an adult man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

Sheriff’s say that initial information indicates the victim and suspect knew each other. During the evening they became involved in a physical altercation that ended in one being shot.

Police say the alleged shooter fled the area in a vehicle and has not been located.

Investigators say the shooting does not appear to be random and they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
