SPD arrests man for hit-and-run, threatening driver with gun near Spokane Falls Community College

Police performed a K9 search for half an hour before arresting the suspect. He is expected to appear in court Friday.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Officers with the Spokane Police Department (SPD) arrested a man following a hit-and-run collision on North Holy Names Court near Spokane Falls Community College.

According to SPD, the incident occurred following the crash when the suspect got out and threatened the other driver with a gun. The suspect then took off running, according to officers.

Police arriving on scene had to perform a K9 search to catch up with the suspect. After half an hour, the suspect was arrested. The condition of the victim is unknown.

Police say the suspect is being charged with hit-and-run and second-degree assault. He is expected to appear in court this Friday.
