SPOKANE, Wash. — A man was arrested Monday after deputies said he broke into a South Hill home and exposed himself.

Spokane County deputies responded to a home in the 5400 block of South Madelia around 9 p.m. for a possible attempted robbery. The victim told police an unknown man tried to enter their home through a locked door.

According to a press release from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, the man, later identified as 23-year-old Justin Silva, was later seen walking away.

As multiple deputies arrived in the area and started looking for Silva, a second caller near the original caller’s home reported that he found Silva inside his home, according to the press release. Officials said the caller pushed Silva out of the home and was last seen running north from the home.

According to the release, two deputies contacted the second victim and learned when the homeowner first saw Silva, he wasn’t wearing any pants and left his shoes inside the home.

After Silva was arrested, deputies learned from the second victim that Silva was initially seen naked from the waist down near the door to the kitchen. The victim said Silva picked up his pants and started to walk toward the victim’s teenage daughter, who was in the kitchen. The victim told Silva to get out of his house and ended up pushing him out of the front door.

A third caller told officials that Silva appeared to be high and was throwing bikes around in her garage and was on her patio.

Deputies located Silva in the woman’s backyard and took him into custody.

He was booked into the Spokane County Jail and charged with residential burglary with sexual motivation and indecent exposure.

Silva was released on his own recognizance after his first court appearance.
