Spokane Police investigating after body found in empty house

SPD's Major Crimes Unit is investigating the possible homicide.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department (SPD) is investigating a possible homicide after finding a body in Northeast Spokane on Saturday.

According to SPD, officers received a call about a dead man in an empty house near East Lyons Avenue and North Napa Street. At 10:30 a.m., SPD found the man's body and signs of a possible homicide.

The SPD Major Crime Unit is investigating. The Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office will release more information on the victim's identity at a later time. 

SPD is asking anyone with information on this incident to call crime check at (509) 456-2233, and reference incident 2023-20219499.
