SPOKANE, Wash. --- Spokane Police said a naked suspect tried to assault a jogger on Centennial Trail on the Gonzaga University Campus.
SPD said she had been jogging when a male suspect grabbed her, wrapped her up in a blanket and threw her to the ground. She said the suspect was on top of her as she was on the ground.
The victim was able to get up after the suspect ran away, SPD said.
The naked suspect, James G. Jenness, 45, was found on the riverbank south of the Jundt Art Center about 10 minutes later by police officers.
SPD said Jenness faces unlawful imprisonment charges.
Officers said the victim appears to be okay following the incident. They said they believe the suspect acted alone.
