MOSES LAKE, Wash. — A Moses Lake man is being charged with fourth-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment for allegedly holding three women against their will inside a home.

According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office (GCSO), 31-year-old Enrique Leon held three women inside a Moses Lake home on Wednesday.  Deputies say the suspect allegedly hit one of the women in the head, and that woman was able to escape and call for help. Leon now faces charges of fourth-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment.

On Wednesday, police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault near Grape Drive in Moses Lake. The caller said that there was a man with a handgun barricaded inside a home and holding a woman against her will, according to GCSO.

Grant County Public Information Officer Kyle Foreman told KREM 2 the caller was anonymous.  Foreman said the anonymous caller claimed there were three women being held against their will at the home, but when deputies arrived, they found one man and one woman outside of the home.

The man outside the home said he was not being held against his will.

Deputies searched the home and the surrounding areas but didn't locate anyone else who appeared to be a victim. They learned later that two women suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital; however, deputies are still trying to figure out how or if those women are involved in this incident.

Deputies later identified the suspect as Leon, who had an outstanding unlawful possession of a firearm charge. He was arrested on that charge, but eventually charged with fourth-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment. He was booked into the Grant County Jail on Friday afternoon and will appear in court on Feb. 6.
