POWELL, Idaho - A Montana man was arrested Monday in Idaho for Attempted Deliberate Homicide and Aggravated Assault.
The Idaho County Sheriff's Emergency Response Team arrested 57 year old John Navarro Stone of Fortine, MT., on a Lincoln County, MT., warrant.
The Idaho State Police advised Idaho County Dispatch that their trooper had located a vehicle belonging to Stone in the parking lot at Jerry Johnson Hot Springs at milepost 151 on Highway 12.
The SERT team was activated and responded to the hot springs in an attempt to locate the subject. Stone was located at the hot springs and taken into custody without incident.
Assisting agencies were the Idaho State Police, Lewis County Sheriff's Office, Missoula County Sheriff's Office, Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Forest Service.
Stone will be held in the Idaho County Jail on $500,000.00 bond.
