Spokane County nurse charged with second-degree murder has license suspended

Marc Rinard was arrested for second-degree murder and drive-by shooting last month.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash β€” A Spokane County nurse charged with second-degree murder had his license suspended, pending further legal action.

According to the Washington State Department of Health, Marc Rinard is not allowed to practice as a registered nurse in Washington State while further legal action is pending. The department of health said Rinard has 20 days from the date the suspension was issued to contest the action.

According to court documents, Rinard has been a nurse for 14 years.

According to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, Rinard pulled his truck up next to a man and a woman in a car at a traffic stop at North Argonne Road and East Trent Avenue when Rinard started yelling at them.

The sheriff's office said Rinard opened fire, killing the man, who was the driver.

Rinard was arrested for second-degree murder, drive-by shooting and first-degree assault. 

Rinard's bond is set at $5 million.
