Suspect in Kennewick shooting that killed Mead High School alum found dead

Forty-four-year-old Adam Paul Klei was found dead in the area of South Gum Street and East 44th Avenue just a day after the shooting took place.

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Officers with the Kennewick Police Department (KPD) found the body of the suspect in a deadly shooting that took the life of Mead High School alum Travis Kitchen.

At this time, CBS Station KEPR is reporting 44-year-old Adam Paul Klei has been found dead in the area of South Gum Street and East 44th Avenue.  KPD said they had probable cause to arrest Klei for first-degree murder after finding 48-year-old Kitchen on the side of the road with multiple gunshot wounds Monday morning.

Kennewick Fire medics attempted to revive Kitchen, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
