ID=22914605BOISE, Idaho -- Deputies are searching for a woman who failed to report back to jail after being released earlier that day for a medical appointment.

Molly Brown, 23, was released into the custody of a family member Friday morning for the court-ordered doctor's visit. She was due back at the jail at 1 p.m.

The relative dropped Brown off at the Ada County Jail after her appointment and watched her walk back into the building.

But the inmate never checked herself in. Instead, deputies say, she waited until the family member had driven away and walked out of the jail building.

Brown has been in jail since Jan. 4 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. While incarcerated, she was also charged with two counts of bringing major contraband into the jail.

The sheriff's office says Brown is now also wanted on an escape charge. A $100,000 warrant has been issued for her arrest.

The inmate was last seen wearing blue stretch pants that look like jeans and a white long-sleeved T-shirt with sparkles.

Anyone with information on Brown's whereabouts should contact Ada County dispatch at 377-6790.

The Ada County Jail had more than 250 court-ordered furloughs last year. The sheriff's office says all those people checked back into the jail.
