Idaho State Police lifts shelter-in-place near Wolf Lodge, suspect in custody

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — UPDATE: The suspect, Jesse Spegal, has been taken into custody, according to a media release by Idaho State Police (ISP). ISP claims a tip from the public led to Spegal's capture.

Idaho State Police (ISP) are currently searching for a wanted suspect near the area of Wolf Lodge and State Highway 97 in Coeur d'Alene. A shelter-in-place order was issued for residents living near the area, but that order has since been lifted.

According to ISP, troopers were pursuing a car before the suspect and another passenger exited and fled on foot near the lodge. Residents in the area are advised to be careful and should call 911 if they see the suspect.

The identity of the suspect is unknown at this time, as well as the crime he is accused of committing.
