Spokane County Medical Examiner identifies woman killed in car vs. scooter crash near downtown Spokane

The Spokane County Medical Examiner said 23-year-old Danielle Littrell died from blunt force injuries of the head and torso.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Medical Examiner has identified the woman killed while riding a scooter near downtown Spokane Tuesday morning.

The medical examiner said 23-year-old Danielle Littrell died from "blunt force injuries of the head and torso." The medical examiner also said the manner of Littrell's death was an accident.

According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), a woman, later identified as Littrell, was heading north on Lincoln when a driver heading east stopped at a stop sign. SPD said the driver pulled into the intersection, and the car and scooter collided.

People in the area started to perform CPR on Littrell until EMS took over, but Littrell later died from her injuries.

SPD said it does not appear that the driver of the car was impaired.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for the Littrell family.
