SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force in Sacramento is searching for 59-year-old Jose Cardona, who is wanted in connection to a triple homicide in Stockton, California.
The Stockton Police Department on June 25 reported that Cardona allegedly set a camper on fire, which killed his ex-wife, 33-year-old Lizbeth Josefina Gutiérrez, and her two sons, ages 7 and 10.
The U.S. Marshals Service said Cardona fled the scene and is still at large. Officials confirmed Cardona has ties to Idaho and north Texas.
KTVB’s Brenda Rodriguez spoke with the victims' family and discovered Cardona has children living in the Treasure Valley.
Cardona is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing roughly 190 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
