SPOKANE--Spokane Police needs help in identifying and locating a suspect who sexually assaulted a 62-year-old woman Tuesday.
The victim was walking in Upper Lincoln Park around 4 p.m. when she noticed the male suspect in the bluff area.The suspect followed the victim to a wooded area where he sexually assaulted her.The suspect then fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a 5'09' white man, between 25-30 years old weighing approximately 160 lbs.The victim describes him as having short black hair with long bangs.He has dark brown eyes and his skin was olive tone and clean shaven.He was last seen wearing pants and a black zipped hooded sweatshirt
Connie Kessler was visiting the park Wednesday and had not yet heard about the sexual assault. She said 'it does make you nervous. It makes you nervous to just go sit in your car to have your lunch break. '
Kessler says feel empathy for the victim. 'That bothers me a lot because the elderly are victims enough. They are too trusting...I work with the elderly and I feel like I should be their protector.'
