Grant County Sheriff's Office arrests 17-year-old who "slashed" two people in Grand Coulee

GRAND COULEE, Wash. — The Grant County Sheriff's Office arrested a 17-year-old who "slashed" two people at a party in Grand Coulee.

According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement responded to reports of a large fight at 213 Second Street in Grand Coulee.

The sheriff's office said while most people left before police arrived, the 17-year-old returned to the home armed with a kitchen knife. The sheriff's office said the 17-year-old swung the knife at a 22-year-old woman, causing "a deep laceration to the back of her head," according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office said the 17-year-old also swung the knife at a 20-year-old man, "causing a deep laceration to the man’s chest," according to the sheriff's office.

People at the party restrained the 17-year-old before he was eventually taken into custody. The suspect was booked into the Chelan County Juvenile Justice Center for first-degree assault and first-degree harassment.
