Deputies arrest two people, recover 14 firearms and 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine in Kootenai County

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — A man and woman from Coeur d'Alene were arrested after law enforcement found 14 firearms and 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine inside a home Monday night.

According to the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, deputies were led to a home on North 15th Street near East Harrison Avenue. The sheriff's office said the theft of a reported game camera continued to transmit photos and GPS locations, which led deputies to the home.

When deputies arrived, the sheriff's office said they were able to detain everyone inside the home. Deputies recovered 14 firearms, around 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine and the stolen game camera during the search.

Deputies arrested 54-year-old Daniel Grove and 45-year-old Christeena Ferguson for multiple charges, including unlawful possession of firearms, trafficking in methamphetamine and habitual offender status.

Grove and Ferguson are currently in the Kootenai County Jail without bail.
