1 dead in hit and run near Moses Lake

Law enforcement is looking for a suspect involved with a hit-and-run that left one person dead on the southbound side of M-SE.

MOSES LAKE, Wash. — A man was found dead on the southbound side of Road M-Southeast near Moses Lake on Sunday, August 4.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) says the Grant County coroner identified the man as 19-year-old Adrian Baeza Escobedo of Moses Lake.

GSCO says the person was killed after being hit by a car that would have been traveling south between Road 3-Southeast and Road 4-Southeast. They say the car may have damage on the right front end.

GCSO says the body was called in around 6 a.m. on Sunday by a passerby and the road was briefly closed for law enforcement to work safely.

They have not found the car suspected to be involved and ask anyone with information to call 509-762-1160.

GCSO is still investigating the death.

This is a developing story. KREM 2 will update as information becomes available.
