ATHOL, Idaho — Silverwood Theme Park announced Monday its expansion of Boulder Beach is well underway.
The theme park is developing 3.86 acres that will consist of the first dueling water coaster on the West Coast, as well as a large food pavilion, kid slides with a splash pad and another restroom.
“Guests have flocked to our water park each summer for a variety of reasons," Stephanie Sampson, Silverwood’s public relations manager, said in the announcement. "Maybe they were hoping to meet with friends on fun ground, beat the heat or make core memories with their families. But there is no doubt that in 2024, they are headed our way to experience what’s new!"
After announcing the new $15 million Emerald Forest addition to Boulder Beach in August 2023, Silverwood’s team has worked to transform the aquatic playland. Sampson said the water coaster is assembled, the new cabanas are taking shape and finishing touches are being placed on the large food pavilion.
