SPOKANE, Wash. — Hundreds of people lined up this morning in East Central Spokane, receiving either free meals, cash donations or even gloves and warm clothes.
Fresh Soul and Restaurant owner Michael Brown has made this a Thanksgiving tradition over the years.
With the help of donors, $100,000 worth of donations were given out to roughly 500 people.
“And I’m just being a servant of God, because I believe that a person's action defines their character," Michael Brown, owner of Fresh Soul, said. "So we should all be able to serve.”
The event was first come first serve. Brown said the giveaway will be back again next Thanksgiving for their sixth year.
