SEATTLE — One of the West Coast's most beloved doughnut chains will open its first Seattle location to the public on Tuesday morning.
Voodoo Doughnut's Capitol Hill location at 1201 Pine Street will open at 8 a.m. Tuesday. The Portland-based eatery has locations in Colorado, Texas, Illinois, Tennessee, Arizona, California and Florida.
It is not Washington state's first Voodoo Doughnuts, as Vancouver also has its own location.
During the first day of business, 20% of sales from the day will go to FareStart, a nonprofit that provides opportunities to community members through food and job training and provides meals to Seattle-area schools.
Voodoo Doughnuts Marketing Director Taylor Fish said the first 50 people in line will receive "an exclusive gift."
“Capitol Hill is the perfect home for our first Seattle shop,” Chris Schultz, CEO of Voodoo Doughnut, said in a press release. “We’re not just opening a store; we’re joining a community—and our partnership with FareStart underscores our commitment to making a positive local impact.”
Many of the fan favorites, like the bacon maple bar, will be available on opening day at the Seattle location. They also offer a large selection of vegan treats.
