SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — On the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, a new hot pot and pho restaurant opened their doors in Spokane Valley.
Thuy Pham opened her restaurant, Hot Pot and Pho on Feb. 10. Pham said it was her dream to run a traditional Vietnamese restaurant.
"Every time I check the customers out or visit with the customers, I ask them, 'How do you like it?' and they say "Oh it's so good, it's perfect," Pham laughed. "The customers enjoy it, like it and that makes me happy."
Pham first began working for the Mongolian BBQ on Sullivan and Sprague. With enough savings and help from the Mongolian BBQ staff, Pham was able to open her restaurant in 2004. Pham later bought the Mongolian BBQ in Spokane Valley.
Hot Pot and Pho serves Vietnamese with a modern technology twist on a traditional Vietnamese style of eating. Pham's restaurant is in Spokane Valley, 11110 E Sprague Ave, and is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
