SPOKANE, Wash. — An iconic restaurant staple in Spokane announced on Facebook Saturday it is struggling post-pandemic, prompting it to make a difficult decision.
Gordy’s Sichuan Café announced that on Tuesday, Feb. 20, it will temporarily focus all of its business on pick-up and delivery.
This means the restaurant will no longer offer in-restaurant dining.
In a Facebook post made on Saturday, Feb. 17, the restaurant said that this decision was made because of an influx in, “operational expenses and lagging post-pandemic sales.”
According to Gordy’s Facebook page, “We have not made this extraordinary decision easily, but it is necessary to ensure that Gordy’s legacy lives on.”
Gordy’s hours remain the same, 11 a.m. to 8:40 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Their Facebook post said you can place orders until 8:40 p.m.
You can order online at www.gordysspokane.com. You can also order from Gordy's via DoorDash.
