SPOKANE, Wash. — Chicken lovers get excited! Chick-fil-A has resubmitted an application for a new building on the South Hill.
The application comes just over a year after another South Hill Chick-fil-A proposal was rejected by Spokane’s Planning & Economic Development department because of the amount of parking.
This new application would be for the same location located at 29th and Regal near the old South Hill Grill location.
In December 2022 the proposal was rejected because the city said the proposal had too much parking. The application requested a total of 4,987 square feet of floor area, meaning the proposed Chick-fil-A location could accommodate a maximum of 20 parking spots. The proposal sought 113 parking spots, in addition to drive-thru facilities for the restaurant.
The new proposal is for a 5,100 square foot store with a double drive thru. The indoor eating area would have 125 seats and the building would cost $1.1 million.
