MEAD, Wash — Cherry Hill Orchard and Market announced this week they will be unable to open for business this season. In a Facebook post, the business said their crop of cherries, apricots and peaches “completely froze out.”
They said although December was mild with unusually warm temperatures, the temperature drop to -15 degrees in January along with chilling winds froze their flower buds.
Cherry Hill says they hope to open as normal in 2025.
