MEAD, Wash. — Cat Tales is welcoming an adorable new addition to its family.

Bonnie, a 13-year-old bobcat, was donated from a private owner in western Washington. Cat Tales said on Facebook that Bonnie’s owner was faced with euthanizing her if he did not find her a new home.

Cat Tales said they need to address Bonnie’s weight and new diet as she settles into life at Cat Tales. She is currently in quarantine but updates will be posted to social media when visitors will be able to stop by her new exhibit.

Those who would like to contribute to building Bonnie’s new space can donate on the Cat Tales website. She will also be posted on the zoological park’s adoptions page for those who would like to support her monthly feeding and medical expenses.

“Welcome Bonnie. We love you already,” Cat Tales wrote on Facebook.

More than $100 has been raised for Bonnie's care so far.
