SPOKANE, Wash. -- One man is dead after a shooting in North Spokane.
Spokane Police received reports of a gunshot near Hoffman and Nevada around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. As police were investigating the scene, they got a call from a Holy Family Hospital. The hospital told police that the gunshot victim was brought to the hospital and that the person had passed away.
Police also received reports of a car seen driving hastily through the area. A short time later the car described arrived at Holy Family Hospital. A man with a gunshot wound was in the car. He was pronounced dead at the time.
Spokane Major Crimes Unit detectives are investigating the scene and interviewing the person who brought the victim to the hospital. Police have not released a description of the suspect.
