North Spokane drive-thru baby shower surprises mom-to-be during social distancing order

Margaret Greenfield and her family were only expecting about 40 people to show up to her baby shower, then one family member decided to bring the shower to her.

SPOKANE, Wash. — A heartwarming story of how a mom-to-be was showered with unconditional love.

Margaret Greenfield expressed a lot of emotions when she saw so many of her friends and family show up to her baby shower. Many of those emotions were out of pure joy and love.

Since the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), social distancing has made it harder for families and community to come together during this stressful time.

The mother of the father-to-be couldn't stand by and watch that happen. She rallied up neighbors, friends and family to turn something negative into a positive memory that Greenfield will remember forever.

"I didn't think there was going to be that many people, and when I looked down it was an overwhelming feeling of joy and love," Greenfield said.

With cars lined up and down her neighborhood, greenfield couldn't hold back tears of happiness while friends showed up with gifts and Easter eggs.

"I can't put into words how thankful I am and I just pray that they will know how appreciative I am of their love," Greenfield said.
