Sandwich generation is a generation of people still raising their children while having to care for their aging parents. At Gamma Knife we have an open door policy for patients' families recognizing everyone in the family can be impacted by our loved ones health concerns. They are welcome in the preparation rooms and may accompany patients into the gamma knife area until we begin treatment.
A Gamma Knife is not a knife at all. There is no incision in the scalp or opening of the skull.
