Sturgill Simpson making stop at Gorge Amphitheater in September 2024 in return to music

Along with his tour comes a new album under a new name Johnny Blue Skies

GEORGE, Wash. — Sturgill Simpson will be returning to music this year with a tour that will make a stop at the Gorge Amphitheater this September.

Simpson will be joined by special guest Lord Huron at the Gorge Amphitheater on Friday, September 20.

IN addition to his tour, Simpson will also have a new album under a new name, Johnny Blue Skies, which is called Passage Du Desir, which will be released on Friday, July 12.

Simpson will also headline sets at Outside Lands and the Austin City Limits Music Festival before hitting the road again for the "Why Not? Tour" this fall.

If you are a Sturgill Simpson fan and want to attend the concert, you are asked to register before tickets go on sale, which is open now until Monday, June 10 at 8:59 p.m. PST. 

Pre-sale starts on Wednesday, June 12 at 10 a.m. local, and a number of tickets will be available for general sale on Friday, June 14 at 10 a.m. local time.

If you buy your ticket through Ticketmaster and can't make it, you can resell your ticket at the original price using the Face Value Exchange. Simpson is also asking that shows ticketed by Ticketmaster use tickets that are mobile-only and restricted from transfer.

Simpson's performance at The Gorge Amphitheater on September 20 is wedged between a performance at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater in Bend, Oregon, on Thursday, September 19 and the KettleHouse Amphitheater in Missoula, Montana, on Sunday, September 22.
